The Telecaster Plus
Inspired by Greenwood.
So this is the original guitar.
It's a Squier Telecaster (Affinity Series) that I picked up for $180 from Amazon. It plays alright, but it needed...something. I figured that i would just gloss up the maple neck and make it nice and smooth. But it needed more than that. I wanted this guitar to roar like a lion. Then it dawned on me. A humbucker. It was actually inspired by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, (one of the greatest musicians alive). I wanted his roar.
So I went out and bought a Red Lace Sensor dually for around $90, also from Amazon. This is actually what is in his Tele.
I loosened the pickguard a bit so i could fit a few of my heavy picks (or plectrums, as they say in Britain) inside. This is a habit of Jonny Greenwood.
This is the final product!
Notice the cut bridge. Also, remember to replace 250k potentiometers with 500k ones.
Then, I plugged it in.
