Guitars (Electric)

2012 Fender Stratocaster (Olivia)

I bought this guitar in 2012, a few months after I had purchased a mandolin that I decided to exchange for it. At first, I thought it was alright. I wasn't really in love with it. I used it for fun basically. However, eventually, after I had gotten it set up the way I like it, I started to love it. Now, it's simply my favorite guitar. I named her "Olivia", after the song "Something Like Olivia". She's set up by Fred, from the Repair Zone, my favorite tech. She's got a floating tremolo 4 cm off of the body, single coil ceramic pickups, and .11-.49 gauge D'Addario strings. I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe (Mufasa II)

If you knew me well, you would know that I'm not one for muddy tones. But before the era of the bright stratocaster, there was a time when I loved Les Pauls more than life itself. This was the first Les Paul I bought. I was infatuated with it. This guitar ROARED. So, naturally, his name was Mufasa. Like Olivia, Mufasa was outfitted with .11-.49 guage D'Addario strings. Mufasa had the Burstbucker Pro/490r combo. This thing was the king of roar.

Squier Custom Telecaster (Akhbar)

So I already made a long post about this guitar. It's based off of Jonny Greenwood's Telecaster. It's basically a Squier Affinity Telecaster with a lot of the wood routed out, a Red Lace Sensor Dually in the bridge position, new electronics, and an ermm.. interesting bridge. Named after the Mughal emperor Akhbar. Also, I set this guitar up (action and intonation) myself.

Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top (Rosie)

This was the first electric guitar I had ever purchased. Nothing too special, just standard Epi with the pickups uncovered. This thing also roars, but with a special twinkle to it. I have to say, while it may not be a "real" Gibson, it is definitely the quality of one.

Kala Ukelele

Nothing to say here. Just a little bit of fun.

Amplifiers

Fender 1965 Twin Reverb (Ri) (Ella)
This amplifier is gorgeous. It looks, sounds, and feels amazing. Actually it feels horrible. It's heavy as BALLS. Weighing in at around 64 lbs, it takes a roadie to carry it upstage. Mainly because I'm weak and fragile. But it sounds deep. It sounds powerful. It sounds legendary. I got it in a white tolex, which was a plus because it set it apart from all the other fender amps in the world. I use the vibrato channel input 1. Here's a picture of the Twin when it was brand new. I actually think I took this on the day that I got it. Named after the Queen of Jazz, the First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald.

Marshall JCM900

I actually don't own this amplifier anymore, as I sold it recently. This thing sounded great in a garage. And fantastic at arena volumes. But there was no in between. Sorry, Marshall.
Looks nice though, right? I used it for one gig, but it was just too big. Too lame. I had to push the gain all the way to get it to roar the way that I wanted it to. The clean channel was nice at medium volumes though. All in all, it didn't suit me.

Peavey Vypyr and Raven RG20

These are solid state amplifiers. The Raven was the first amplifier I had ever bought. But alas, it's broken now. As for the Peavey, one can get amazing effects out of it. I still use it for ambient music and anything that requires lots of delay and effected guitar parts.

Pedals and Effects

Ibanez TS-808 TubeScreamer

I use the tubescreamer primarily as a clean boost. It's never failed me. It sounds amazing.

Caroline Wave Cannon

The Wave Cannon is the greatest fuzz box on earth. That is all to be said about it.

 Boss DS-1 Distortion

This pedal isn't awesome. It's great for crazy low end gain, that I use sometimes, but not quite that often. I've been meaning to get a Keeley Ultra mod for it.

LiveWire ABY Footswitch

I rarely use it anymore, but it's helpful for using two amplifiers or comparing guitars.

 Vox and Crybaby Wah pedals

Never get used. Ever. But they're fun to mess around with just for giggles.
